Blue orchid arrived a bit beat up

I was in search of a blue orchid for a blue-themed room. I was curious about the idea of buying an orchid online and wondered how it would be possible considering the delicate nature of orchid flower stalks. When my plant arrived, the box was clearly marked and smartly labeled. Upon opening, the packaging was unique - specially made inflated protection with the flower stalks nested in looked like a good idea. But it only wrapped half of the stalks, so it appears that during shipping the flowers and stalks still moved so much that 10 or 12 of the petals were knocked off the flowers. Everything else is ok and the plant seems healthy. It’s just that most of the flowers are now missing petals, so it looks a little beat up. I’ll have to wait for the next bloom to see the full glory of this nice and otherwise healthy plant. I suggest that perhaps the company should wrap the entire stalk with the protective cover rather than just half.

Don't order during the winter

Flowers arrived in a non-insulated box. We brought them inside the moment they were delivered but the damage was done. The plant had frozen during shipping and all the flowers fell off the stem at some point during shipping. Severely disappointed that no measures were taken to protect the plant during shipping.
